About

Danfoss Drives brings power electronics, motor control and field service into one VFD lifecycle.

Our teams support OEM engineers, facility reliability leaders and panel builders who need stable speed control rather than generic replacement boxes. We treat each request as an electrical and mechanical system: motor insulation, cable length, grounding, cabinet temperature, control mode and service access all influence whether the drive will remain stable after commissioning.

Dedicated AC drive engineering

The first generation of Danfoss drive work centered on efficient motor speed control for pumps and fans. That mindset still shapes every specification: understand load curves, reduce wasted throttling energy and keep service access practical.

1990s

Global HVAC and water adoption

As building automation and municipal pumping grew more sophisticated, drive platforms expanded with PID control, bypass logic and fieldbus communication. The installed base taught our support teams to value parameter clarity and alarm documentation as much as headline power range.

Today

Connected condition analytics

Modern VLT and VACON systems can turn the drive into a measurement point. Current signature, thermal reserve and load deviation trends help maintenance groups see mechanical risk before a nuisance trip turns into downtime. The same platform supports IE4 motor strategies, EMC packages and remote service planning.

Engineer first

Every recommendation cites kW, current, enclosure, EMC and protection class, then ties those values to the actual fan, pump, compressor or conveyor duty cycle.

Lifecycle visible

Commissioning, spares and retrofit paths are documented before handover, including parameter backup, fan service intervals and capacitor aging guidance.

Digital where useful

Analytics support field decisions without hiding the electrical fundamentals, so maintenance teams can connect a trend alarm to a measurement they can verify.
